In Design B I have provided quarters for the Deputy Superintendent of Police although not named in the List of accommodation supplied by the Colonial Secretary's letter of 1st September 1880 as I have been informed by Captain Deane that it was his intention later on to apply for quarters to be erected for the Deputy Superintendent adjoining the property of Mrs. Edmund Sharp. Of this latter proposition being carried out in connection with Design A it will add some $6000 to the cost of that Design. I doubt whether such detached quarters won't be so effective or convenient as those which I have provided in the Main Building in Design B.
